Animal Planet's Puppy Bowl VII

Make sure to catch the big game this Sunday! No, not the Super Bowl. Let's be honest, nobody watches that except for the commercials (Ha.). The real game will be on Animal Planet at 3pm on February 6th - Puppy Bowl VII.

This is an annual event shown on Animal Planet since 2005 that is funny and a great program for all animal lovers. The show consists of a number of puppies that have been scouted and drafted from animal shelters around the country to play around in a model stadium while announcers call whats going on using actual football terminology. All kinds of toys are put onto the field and the puppies are free to tackle and playfully bite each other. Penalties are called for 'accidents' on the field and touchdowns are declared if a puppy gets a ball into the end zone. Halfway through the program there is a Kitty Half-Time Show usually brought to you by Bissell. The half-time show is made complete with kittens, a scratch post, lasers, balls of yarn and other crazy toys. What's not to love? Underneath the comical and cute Puppy Bowl is the message to help animals in shelters and to adopt them. Its an admirable cause presented in a fun way.

If nothing else this is a fun program to kill some time with while waiting for the real game. Kick back, have a few drinks and appetizers, and enjoy the animals.
