Starship Troopers: Invasion teaser trailer

The teaser trailer for Starship Troopers: Invasion has been released and I must say that I am definitely intrigued. This installment in the franchise is a CG movie that will most likely head straight to DVD but the positive thing about it is that it appears to be a direct sequel to the original 1997 Starship Troopers and completely ignores the 2nd and 3rd film. Both of which were awful. This trailer is a true teaser. It shows a soldier preparing for battle as he narrates his thoughts and gives us a look at the upgrades that soldiers now have. It also shows us some quick glimpses of starships and a real quick look at an arachnid at the end.     

Show synopsis:

"The story centers around two teams of Roughnecks: the Alpha 1 team embarking on a mission to rescue the distant outpost Fort Casey and the K-12 team already stationed at Fort Casey. The two war-depleted squads must band together with a common objective, but personalities and ambition ensure a bumpy ride."

Starship Troopers: Invasion will be released in Summer 2012.
