X-Men: First Class sequel delays filming for Catching Fire

Jennifer Lawrence as Mystique in X-Men: First Class
With both Fox and Lionsgate looking to film movies starring the now ever popular Jennifer Lawrence, the big question became which movie would shoot first; X-Men: First Class sequel with FOX or Catching Fire with Lionsgate?

Jennifer Lawrence first starred as Mystique in X-Men: First Class so many thought that FOX would use their option on her contract to film first. However, The Hollywood Reporter has confirmed that FOX is allowing the young star to continue her role as Katniss Everdeen in Catching Fire, which will start filming around August/September. This will give Lawrence a few months before the sequel to X-Men: First Class starts filming in January of 2013. This of course puts pressure on Lionsgate to get their director issues in order quickly so that they have enough time to film.

This of course means that we will now have to wait a few more months for the release of the X-Men: First Class sequel but if it allows us to get two amazing movies with an amazing actress then I think that is a fair price. How do you feel about this news? Think it is fair or should FOX have used their option on Lawrence?
