Disney wants to put out two or three Star Wars films a year!

Fans have been abuzz about Disney buying LucasFilm and wanting to put out Star Wars Episode VII by 2015.

However, this was apparently just the tip of the iceberg as the new LucasFilm President Kathlene Kennedy has revealed that the studio wants to release "two or three films a year"! Yes, you read that right. Two or three Star Wars films a year!

Its assumed that these films would be separate from Episodes 7, 8, and 9. This could confirm the recent rumor that LucasFilm wanted to open up the Star Wars universe and possibly create spin-off movies that focus around an individual character or groups/organizations within the Star Wars universe. How about a movie on the The Mandalorian Wars? If Disney is faithful to the franchise, and there is no reason to think they wouldn't be, this could be pretty cool if they choose some great characters and stories to create. And lets hope that they have some great stories because if they start putting out average stories for the sake of money fans will turn on Disney quick. Now two or three a year seems like a lot of movies but then Marvel has been doing that for a few years now. Personally, I rather have it be more like one or two a year. Three is just too much. So what do you think? Could this be a good thing for the franchise?
