Nintendo releases the Wii Mini in Canada!

Nintendo may have entered next generation console gaming with the release of the Wii U but they are still looking to boost sales of Wii titles.

Nintendo's newest release is called the Wii Mini and will, for the time, be sold solely in Canada. The Wii Mini will launch on December 7th and have the small price tag of $99! For gamers that have not yet purchased a Wii and are looking to get in on all the fun gaming that they can have with their friends and family, this is definitely an amazing price. Gamers in other countries however will have to wait and see if they will get a chance to own this newest Wii console.
"No information is available about its potential availability in other territories in the future," Nintendo said in a press release.
The Wii Mini will need to sit flat on a table as it has a top loading disc tray. This may not be too bad considering the smaller size. The console will come in matte black with a red frame and will be packaged with a red Wii  Motion Plus controller, nunchuk, and sensor bar. You can see from the promotional photos that the Wii Mini is about the length of a Wii remote which is very nice. At first, the price tag, size, and look will definitely draw in new gamers. However, they should know that the Wii Mini will not be compatible with Gamecube games and will have no internet connectivity.

So what do you think Canadian gamers? Will you be picking up a Wii Mini for $99 this holiday season?
