Find out why Gandalf really doesn't use the Eagles to make his adventures shorter!

Fans of The Lord of the Rings and The Hobbit have always wondered why Gandalf and his group never just used the Eagles to fly over to Mordor (The Lord of the Rings) or the Lonely Mountains (The Hobbit). Fans of course know the real reason given by Tolkien but still wonder why. "Why couldn't the Eagles just fly them part of the way?" or "Why couldn't the Eagles fly in a route that would be safer to travel so they wouldn't be seen by Sauron's forces?" Well, artists Andy Kluthe and Andrew Bridgeman have created a funny comic that gives fans an alternate reason on why Gandalf chose not to ask the Eagles to fly them to their destination.

Pokemon fans will have laughed pretty hard at the end of this comic recognizing the item in Gandalf's hand as a Pokewalker from Pokemon HeartGold and SoulSilver. This game accessory was a pedometer that would train a single Pokemon that you had inside it with every step that you took. So it's no wonder Gandalf wanted to take as many steps as he could in his adventures in these novels/movies.
