Watch Link hop through computers and tablets in The Legend of Digital Zelda! [video]

Image
I came across another amazing The Legend of Zelda video today that I had to share with all of my readers. Created by Final Cut King, this video features our hero Link setting off on an adventure to save Princess Zelda in a way that he never has before.

To save the princess, a drawing of Link comes to life, jumps off of the paper and into a computer screen. He then hops from computers to tablets to complete his adventure. The video is a lot of fun but the impressive part is where you see at the end that the entire video was shot in a single take. Wow!
Enjoy!

Two fun, new posters for Monsters University!

Image
Pixar has released two great movie posters for the upcoming sequel to Monsters Inc., Monsters University. The posters feature our favorite monster duo Mike Wazowski and James P. Sullivan in the college days.If this movie is half as good as Monsters Inc. it will be great! I cannot wait.

Movie synopsis:
"Mike Wazowski and James P. Sullivan are an inseparable pair, but that wasn’t always the case. From the moment these two mismatched monsters met they couldn’t stand each other. “Monsters University” unlocks the door to how Mike and Sulley overcame their differences and became the best of friends.

Screaming with laughter and fun, “Monsters University” is directed by Dan Scanlon (“Cars,” “Mater and the Ghostlight,” “Tracy”) and produced by Kori Rae (“Up,” “The Incredibles,” “Monsters, Inc.”). The film opens in U.S. theaters on June 21, 2013, and will be shown in Disney Digital 3D™ in select theaters."Monsters University will scare theaters on June 21, 2013.

Debut episode of 'Timeline' by GameTrailers.com features The Legend of Zelda! [video]

Image
Gametrailers.com has created a new 'show' titled Timeline that will dissect a video games' history and mythos and present the timeline in which the games take place. The debut episode starts with the best video game franchise there is for dissection of a timeline. (It also happens to be my most favorite franchise ever!) I am of course referring to The Legend of Zelda.

At 38 minutes 09 seconds, this video takes you through every game in the franchise and looks to place those games in the timeline just as fans did when the games were released. Story elements, game connections, familiar characters, and game creator and developer quotes are discussed while looking to place the games in the right order. As the video approaches its end, Gametrailers then talks about the official The Legend of Zelda timeline that was released by Nintendo in the book Hyrule Historia

This video is a must watch for anyone who calls themself a The Legend of Zelda fan and a great watch for all game…

LEGO Star Wars wedding proposal!

Image
Its a beautiful thing when two people fall in love and get engaged but it's an even more beautiful thing when the proposal is done by combining some of the couple's favorite fandoms. One Star Wars fan has proposed to his girlfriend using Star Wars LEGOs and has shared the photos for everyone to see. The proposal was presented as a diorama with a LEGO stormtrooper proposing to a lady LEGO X-Wing pilot. In the hands of the stormtrooper is a beautiful diamond ring. I hope she said yes because this is definitely an amazing proposal.

Check out the LEGO proposal below!

Nintendo releases the Wii Mini in Canada!

Image
Nintendo may have entered next generation console gaming with the release of the Wii U but they are still looking to boost sales of Wii titles.

Nintendo's newest release is called the Wii Mini and will, for the time, be sold solely in Canada. The Wii Mini will launch on December 7th and have the small price tag of $99! For gamers that have not yet purchased a Wii and are looking to get in on all the fun gaming that they can have with their friends and family, this is definitely an amazing price. Gamers in other countries however will have to wait and see if they will get a chance to own this newest Wii console.
"No information is available about its potential availability in other territories in the future," Nintendo said in a press release. The Wii Mini will need to sit flat on a table as it has a top loading disc tray. This may not be too bad considering the smaller size. The console will come in matte black with a red frame and will be packaged with a red Wii  Moti…

New Zealand weather forecast given in Elven! [video]

New Zealand is once again proving how they are fully embracing their alto ego as Middle Earth. In a recent weather forecast, the weather man not only fully dressed as an Elf from Middle Earth but spoke the entire segment in the Elvish language of Sindarin.

Watching the segement being spoken in the beautiful language of the Elves, Sindarin, is a lot of fun and for a moment makes you want to learn the language yourself.

X-Men: Days of Future Past brings back two major original X-Men actors!

Image
Director Bryan Singer has officially announced that he is bringing two original X-Men actors for X-Men: Days of Future Past. It was known that actos James McAvoy (Charles Xavier), Jennifer Lawrence (Mystique), Michael Fassbender (Magneto), & Nicholas Hoult (Beast) would be returning for the X-Men: First Class sequel.

*Possible spoilers ahead.

However, the bomb was dropped when Singer announced on his twitter feed today that both Patrick Stewart and Ian McKellen would be returning to their roles as Professor Charles Xavier and Magneto respectively.  It'll be fun and interesting to see how these two veteran actors' roles play out in this time jumping (traveling) storyline. Could Fox also be looking to revitalize the original X-Men franchise while boosting their current one with these castings? What do you think of bringing Stewart and McKellen back for Days of Future Past? And do you think this could possibly bring back the original franchise for a new movie sometime in the…

PlayStation All-Stars relax in the break room in funny Robot Chicken video!

Image
Robot Chicken has created another brilliant segment and this time they had their sights on the new Playstation video game, PlayStation All-Stars Battle Royale. Similar to Nintendo's Super Smash Bros., PlayStation All-Stars Battle Royale pits the top names from different Playstation franchises against each other in a fighting game.

In Robot Chicken's segement we get to see what the characters are like in the game's break room during their off time. The result is truly funny. The top moments for me are watching Kratos (God of War) and Nathan Drake (Uncharted) interact and talk about their fight with Sack Boy (Little Big Planet).

Check out the new arena outfits in The Hunger Games: Catching Fire set photos!

Image
The cast of The Hunger Games sequel, The Hunger Games: Catching Fire, have been hard at work filming the cornucopia scene in Hawaii and the first batch of set photos have finally reached the internet. The best part is that fan get their first glimpse of the new arena outfits worn by the tributes in the movie.

The set photos show us Jennifer Lawrence (Katniss Everdeen), Josh Hutcherson (Peeta Mallark), Lynn Cohen (Mags) and Sam Claflin (Finnick Odair) filming in Hawaii in the new and improved arena outfits. In the books the outfits were fitted blue jumpsuits with zippers down the front. Each suit also came with a thick belt covered in purple plastic that could be used as a flotation device. Although the movie has changed the look a bit I still think these outfits looks great. The color pattern and look are definitely a success. What do you think of the new look? Let me know in the comments!

The Hunger Games: Catching Firewill be in theaters on November 22, 2013.
