Third and final Doctor Who Season 7 boxset minisode - "The Inforarium"! [video]

This is it Doctor Who fans! The third and final minisode from the Season 7 boxset is here! It is titled "The Inforarium" and is the first of the three released minisodes to fill in some of the story from Season 7. This two minute video shows fans how the Doctor officially got rid of all information of his name from the data bases of the universe. (It appears that "Oswin" couldn't get every data base when she did her trick.)

*Be sure to turn your volume way up when you watch this as the sound is a little low.

If you didn't get to see the first minisode "Rain Gods" be sure to watch it here. The second minisode "Clara and the TARDIS" can be seen here.

The second Doctor Who minisode from the Season 7 boxset - "Clara and the TARDIS"! [video]

The second Doctor Who minisode has been found from the recently released Season 7 boxset. This is the second minisode of three in the set. This new one is titled "Clara and the TARDIS" and it about two minutes long. Watch as Clara has a little talk with the TARDIS (where the TARDIS makes some sounds reminiscent of R2-D2 from Star Wars) and ends up loosing her Bedroom! To top it all off Clara runs into a few surprises that she clearly didn't see coming.

*Be sure to turn your volume up when you watch this as the sound is a little low.

If you didn't get to see the first minisode "Rain Gods" be sure to watch it here.

6 foot Iron Man RC flyer flies through the skies and is owned by Robert Downey Jr.! [video]

If you enjoyed my recent post about an RC flyer shaped like a wizard flying on a broomstick, you will love this new video of Iron Man flying through the skies!

This is a full size Iron Man RC flyer (6 feet of awesomeness) that is personally owned by Iron Man himself, Robert Downey Jr. Although fans cannot buy this particular flyer they can purchase a 19 inch scale model of this flyer that works just as great in November 2013. Watch as Iron Man takes to the skies and does some amazing stunts. This thing is definitely cool!

4 rules that could make Star Wars good again! A open letter to J.J. Abrams. [video]

Take a look at this amazing video that is an open letter to director J.J. Abrams sharing some basic rules that he needs to follow in order to make the upcoming Star Wars film good. Every fan out there has their own personal opinions on what it'll take to make the new film good but this video presents it in a fun way and explains why they set each rule. The video was created by Prescott Harvey who created the 4 rules with his friends and a lot of research. The video took five months to put together and it was well worth it. The four rules to make Star Wars - Episode VII good are as follows:
Rule #1: The setting is the frontier.
Rule #2: The future is old.
Rule #3: The Force is mysterious.
Rule #4: Star Wars isn't cute.

Watch the stunning video to find out why Harvey has set these particular rules and see if you agree. (I know that I do!)

Speaking to io9 about the video Prescott Harvey mentioned the process the went into creating the rules as well as one of his favorite rules that …

Amazing art piece for "It's The Great Pumpkin, Charlie Brown" in time for the Halloween season!

Image
In time for the Halloween season Dark Hall Mansion and artist Dave Perillo have just released an amazing new art print featuring one of the season's best cartoons It's the Great Pumpkin, Charlie Brown. The art style used by Perillo has a fun, fresh take and I really like the bold, bright colors that he used. Not only does Perillo present a great piece of art but he represents all the important scenes in this piece. As a big Peanuts fan I must say that I really like this piece and I know that other fans will as well. The piece can be seen below with a link to purchase prints as well as prices at the bottom of the article.

"All DHM “It’s the Great Pumpkin, Charlie Brown” editions are 12″ x 36,” strictly limited, numbered, and individually screen printed with Editions as follows:Standard: “It’s the Great Pumpkin, Charlie Brown” (Edition of 280) Variant: “It’s the Great Pumpkin, Charlie Brown” (Edition of 50) Plus a very select run of just 10 of each…

New Doctor Who minisode from the Season 7 boxset titled "Rain Gods"! [video]

The BBC released the complete 7th season of Doctor Who on DVD and Blu-ray yesterday and there are some very fun Doctor Who minisodes on it! Take a look at this first one which is titled "Rain Gods" and is just shy of two minutes long. The minisode features the Doctor and River Song trying to get out of another sticky situation that the Doctor has gotten them into. The best part is that the minisode has the great back and forth banter between the two characters that fans love.

Rain Gods was written by Neil Gaiman and he had this to say about: "For the puzzled and curious. The lost Planet of the Rain Gods sequence from THE DOCTOR’S WIFE, which was drawn by Mark Buckingham as a comic featuring the Doctor and Amy and Rory in the 2012 Doctor Who Brilliant Book, was then rewritten by me as a Doctor/River minisode for the DVD, and then that script was filmed more or less given some limitations of time and budget, does now sort of exist. (It’s credited to Steven Moffat as writer…

Long Island's Patent Pending released a new video game song - Hey Mario! [video]

Check out this great new Mario Bros. song from the Long Island based band Patent Pending titled "Hey Mario". Patent Pending is a Pop-Punk band and they did a fantastic job creating this song. The song is catchy and will get a lot of support from gamers out there and the video is a lot of fun. Actual game footage from New Super Mario Bros. U, Mario Kart, and Luigi's Mansion: Dark Moon, and Super Smash Bros. Brawl was used to create the video. "Hey Mario" can be found on Patent Pending's new album "Brighter" which is available world-wide October 8th (6th/7th UK/Ireland)! Let's hope that the band has been reading some of their fans' comments and makes a video for The Legend of Zelda! You never know.

On a personal note it was weird posting this video. I have known about Patent Pending since their creation in 2001 and attended many of their "Back Yard Tour" shows or local venue shows back when they were still a garage band playing arou…

Watch the first trailer for Disney's Frozen! [video]

Disney has just released the first trailer for their upcoming animated film Frozen and it looks like it will be really cute. The trailer gives fans a look at the characters and story while showing off some of it's comedic moments that are sure to get laughs. Disney has set up the basic character formular for this film and there seems to be a character for all fans out there whether you are looking for the pretty "princess" type, the handsome hero, the funny sidekick, the "evil queen" type, or even the fun "pet".  "Walt Disney Animation Studios, the studio behind "Tangled" and "Wreck-It Ralph," presents "Frozen," a stunning big-screen comedy adventure. Fearless optimist Anna (voice of Kristen Bell) sets off on an epic journey—teaming up with rugged mountain man Kristoff (voice of Jonathan Groff) and his loyal reindeer Sven—to find her sister Elsa (voice of Idina Menzel), whose icy powers have trapped the kingdom of Ar…

Forging Sokka's Meteor Sword from Avatar: The Last Airbender! [video]

The characters of Avatar: The Last Airbender have mystical abilities that allow them to bend the elements of nature to their will. However, one character, Sokka, did not possess this ability and instead relied on his trusty boomerang when he got into a fight. That is until he met a sword master and forged his own sword from a recently fallen meteorite. This "space sword" as Sokka called it looked beautiful!

Thanks to sword maker and prop master Tony Swatton we can now see what it would look like in real life! In his newest video, Swatton uses actual meteorite pieces ($1,652 worth!) to forge Sokka's Meteorite Sword. Can we take a moment to realize how amazing that is? He made the sword using actual meteorites! It is always fun watching Swatton work but this sword was especially fun since I am a big fan of the show and Sokka's character. In the actual episode we got to see Sokka forge this sword step by step so it's really cool to see it done in real life. This vide…

Star Wars has a whole new feel if you put young Anakin's voice into Darth Vader's scenes! [video]

If you are in for a good laugh that I have got the perfect video for you! Check out this video that has footage from Star Wars - Episode IV: A New Hope but takes out Darth Vader's voice and replaces it with young Anakin Skywalker's from Star Wars - Episode I: The Phantom Menace. With this change the scenes become absolutely hilarious and a fun watch. "While bored in deep space (and nobody to play with), Darth Vader's respirator malfunctions, his voice now resembling the shrill and prepubescent Anakin Skywalker. On the eve of the Rebel Alliance's epic assault upon the Empire, Vader desperately searches for a friend." Enjoy!

First trailer for Need For Speed film adaptation hits the web! [video]

The first trailer for the film adaptation of the video game Need for Speed has just been released and ... well it's been released. It's clear that the movie will have some pretty awesome cars and race scenes (but hey so did The Fast and the Furious) but I am not completely sold on this film just yet. I'm looking to see something that will make this film stand out and not seem generic. The trailer does show some scenes that look like great adaptations from races in the games though which is awesome. I'll wait to see a little more whether I decide I'll see this film or not. Need For Speed will star Breaking Bad's Aaron Paul as the lead character Tobey.   "Framed for a crime he didn't commit, muscle car mechanic and street racer Tobey (Aaron Paul) gets out of prison determined to settle the score with the man responsible for his false conviction." Need For Speed is set to hit theaters on March 14, 2014.

Rocket Raccoon has some fun firing his guns in this great Skottie Young art piece!

Image
Rocket Raccoon, member of Marvel's Guardians of the Galaxy, goes crazy firing two wildly big guns (so he's acting normal for him) in this awesome piece of art. The piece was drawn by Skottie Young and has fantastic color to it and is a lot of fun. You can't help but feel that Rocket is having fun here. You can see Rocket Raccoon on the big screen in James Gunn's Guardians of the Galaxy film coming to theaters soon.

Lucasfilm shows off new technology that renders scenes in real time! [video]

Image
Lucasfilm has just released a video that could possibly be showing the future of filmmaking. In the video you watch as scenes from Star Wars are rendered out in real time, possibly removing the need for post-production.

Using motion capture suits and some fancy computer technology you can see in the video that the scenes really are rendered out in real time and they look spectacular! The surroundings can be changed on the fly, the character of the person in the motion capture suit can also be changed on the fly, as well as the lighting in the scene and more. The footage coming out on the computer screens looks smooth as well. It's incredible. I personally think that post-production editing will still be needed but with this new technique it may be brought down to a minimum. This kind of technology will also make a Star Wars television show more likely! Or any show for that matter. Or video games! The possibilities for this new technique are endless!

At the moment I can unfortunate…

Disney releases the first photo from the upcoming Cinderella film!

Image
The first photo from director Kenneth Branagh's upcoming film Cinderella has been released by Walt Disney Pictures! The photo features actress Lily James (Downtown Abbey) as Cinderella riding a horse. In truth, this isn't much but it's still a nice first look.
Take a look at the film's official synopsis: "The story of Cinderella follows the fortunes of young Ella whose merchant father remarries following the tragic death of her mother. Keen to support her loving father, Ella welcomes her new stepmother Lady Tremaine and her daughters Anastasia and Drisella into the family home. But, when Ella's father suddenly and unexpectedly passes away, she finds herself at the mercy of a jealous and cruel new family. Finally relegated to nothing more than a servant girl covered in ashes, and spitefully renamed Cinderella, Ella could easily begin to lose hope. Yet, despite the cruelty inflicted upon her, Ella is determined to honor her mother's dying words and to "…

Watch as Christian Bale auditions for Batman Begins in Val Kilmer's Batman Forever suit! [video]

Even if you are a big name in Hollywood you still have to audition for the role. (Even if it is just a formality.) Take a look at this great audition footage of Christian Bale trying to get the part of Batman in Batman Begins. This newly surfaced footage is coming from the Dark Knight box set it shows fans some pretty interesting things. For starters we can see (or hear) that the "Batman voice" was there since the beginning. Fans love to crack jokes about it but for this franchise it was always intended to be used. Secondly, we see actress Amy Adams reading the part of Rachel. She wasn't going for the role but stepped in to read lines which is pretty cool. But thirdly, and most importantly, take a look at the cowl that Christian Bale is wearing. The suit that Bale is wearing is actually the suit that Val Kilmer wore in Batman Forever! Yes, Batman Forever may have been a bad film but it is still cool to see the suit again.

Opening cinematic for Dungeons and Dragons MMO Neverwinter is amazing! [video]

The Dungeons and Dragons MMO Neverwinter came out last June but never having played it myself, I did not experience the fun and beauty of it's opening sequence. Even if you are not a fan of Dungeons and Dragons, this opening cinematic will grab our attention. Watch as the party of heroes fight off a dragon as an undead army marches on their position. Now only if they could make a CG movie for Dungeons and Dragons that looked this awesome!
