Star Wars Tie Fighter Cat!

Image
Ella McConnell is the proud owner of this beautiful cat that has the markings on a Tie Fighter from the Star Wars films on its right side. The marking really does look like that of a Tie Fighter and I know I would make spaceship noises every time this little guy would go running by. Would you like to have a fun, little Tie Fighter cat?

Character designs for Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles film are revealed!

Image
Thanks to some start of the year toy fairs, Idle Hands was able to get a first hand look at some of the new Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles action figures that are being released for the new upcoming film. The toys revealed a lot about the various characters' new looks and some of what was revealed is very interesting and fun. On the other hand there is some details that fans may be worried about. *Spoilers ahead. Let's take a look at The Turtles: "-  Each turtle has the weapons they should have. (YAY!) 2 swords for Leo, a staff for Don, 2 sais for Raph, a pair of nunchucks and a three sectioned staff for Mikey. -  Each turtle looks LIKE A TURTLE and not alien...at all. (BIGGER YAY!) In fact the designs are quite traditional and unremarkable, and feature far less texture than the 90's movie turtles. Eyes are fairly normal and not cartoonishly large. No beak along the nose area like some speculated. Three fingers and two toes. -  The sort of hunched over posture present …

Recently, Marvel Comics started sending out invitations to a new wedding that would be coming up. (Seen to the right.) The invitation didn't say who the wedding was for but from the puzzle piece picture that they provided it was clear that everyone in the Marvel Universe would be showing up. And from the blood splatter on the invitation the events at the wedding became very suspicious.

Well Marvel has finally revealed who is getting married and this may shock some fans out there. The lucky groom is none other than ... Deadpool! I do love that the Asguardians are giving a full salute to the couple. When questioned about the wedding itself De…

Find out why Superheroes wear underwear on the outside of the costumes! [video]

One of the biggest staples of a superhero costume is that the "underwear" is always on the outside of the costume. But what is the real reason behind this? Setting aside the fact that the brave heroes defending us are wearing their underwear around town for everyone to see, why did the creators of these heroes make this design decision? Well this great video from "Today I Found Out" explains exactly why this superhero design was chosen. And although DC's new reboot, the New 52, took away this design on two of its biggest supporters Superman and Batman, everyone will always remember this design. So take a look and find out why superheroes wear their underwear on the outside of their costumes.

Well one fan has taken upon themselves to create an alternate ending that has been making its way around the internet with great response from fans of the film. The alternate ending features a short musical reprise to the song "Do You Want to Build a Snowman?" that fans are saying would have made the film's ending even better (which is saying something since everyone seems to love the actual ending of the film). The lyrics to the musical reprise are:
"Yes I wanna build a snowman…
I'm sorry that it took so long…
I didn't know I needed you…I really do…
and now you're gone…
please…just ask me once more…
just one more time…I promise I'll open the door
…yes I wanna build a snowman…"

Original Rancor costume from Star Wars: Episode VI - Return of the Jedi!

Image
Take a look at this fantastic behind-the-scenes look at the original rancor costume that was to be used in Star Wars: Episode VI - Return of the Jedi. Uploaded to Reddit by "Join_You_In_The_Sun", the original costume was designed to have a person inside of it. However, it was eventually scrapped and replaced by a miniature wireframe puppet because Dennis Muren of ILM (Industrial Light and Magic) wanted to avoid a "muppet look". Although this costume looks pretty cool I think they made the right choice here. The route they went with looks a lot scarier than this costume would have. What do you think about this costume and their choice not to use it?
