Charles Xavier explains why he can walk in this new clip for X-Men: Days of Future Past! [video]

Here's the scene you've all been waiting for. Fox has released a new clip from X-Men: Days of Future Past that features a confrontation between Charles Xavier (James McAvoy) and Magneto (Michael Fassbender). After going their separate ways at the end of First Class, the once close friends apparently became quite estranged.
In the following clip, the X-Men founders are reunited on a plane with Wolverine (Hugh Jackman) and Hank McCoy (Nicholas Hoult). The last time Magneto saw Charles, he was on the ground wincing in pain. He'd just been shot in the spine with a deflected bullet (thanks, Moira MacTaggert), and was paralyzed from the waist down.
Much like many fans who've viewed DOFP's trailers up to this point, Magneto is surprised to see Charles standing, let alone walking. Charles explains to him, and us, how he regained feeling in his legs. This leads to a heated argument that opens up some old wounds. Perhaps it's best they get their issues out now. We can't have them at each other's throats on the battlefield. They've got Sentinels to destroy.

The newest clip released for X-Men: Days of Future Past has Charles Xavier explaining something that fans have been question for many months now. Watch as Xavier tells his friend Erik Lensherr (aka Magneto) why he can suddenly walk even though he was shot in the spine at the end of X-Men: First Class and left paralyzed. The answer seems simple yet may surprise you.

X-Men: Days of Future Past will be in theaters on May 23, 2014.
