Idris Elba and Tom Hiddleston return as Heimdall and Loki in Avengers: Age Of Ultron!

Actor Idris Elba is a busy man these days but that doesn't stop him from squeezing in a scene for the upcoming Avengers: Age of Ultron film. That's right! Elba has let it slip to Telegraph that both he and Tom Hiddleston will be appearing in the upcoming film. Elba will be repraising his role as Heimdall from the Thor films and fellow actor Tom Hiddleston will be returning as the God of Mischief, Loki.

Elba was due to be in Ibiza to DJ at a night club but the day before he flew out to the set of Avengers to shoot a scene with Chris Hemsworth (Thor) and Tom Hiddleston (Loki).

"“Ironically, yesterday I had to…” Elba chuckles. He’s not meant to talk about this, but he clearly enjoys doing things he’s not meant to do. “I’m in Avengers,” he reveals. He means that his Thor character, deity-cum-sentry Heimdall, appears in Age of Ultron, the second instalment of the superhero ensemble franchise. “And I’m doing a scene with Chris Hemsworth [who plays Thor] and Tom Hiddleston [Loki], and they’re like, [whispers] – ‘Aren’t you [meant to be] in Ibiza?’ ” That bassy chuckle again, followed by a frown. Elba came straight to Ibiza party-time from a mythical Norse god/Marvel universe that has made billions at the global box office. His head is all over the place."

Although the scene itself was not revealed it would make sense that the scene shot may have been a flashback concerning the three characters that was forced into the mind of Thor by Scarlet Witch. This could explain why Thor had to rush off and look for answers, as explained in this leaked clip with Captain America and Iron Man.

Are you excited to see Idris Elda and Tom Hiddleston return to the Marvel universe, even if only for a single scene? Personally, I'm excited for Heimdall!
