Looks like the Scarlet Spider may be hinted at in The Amazing Spider-Man 2!

Image
The Amazing Spider-Man 2 looks like it is going to be filled with various characters and references and another big one has just been hinted at! SONY has launched a great viral campaign in the form of The Daily Bugle. In the Bugle's newest article, they speak about live cloning. "Manhattan’s Empire State University announced a new class for the 2014 fall semester in advanced biogenetics that will actually require the successful cloning of a living creature. Introduction to Live Cloning, taught by noted geneticist Professor Miles Warren, is the first class of its kind anywhere in the world. When asked about the ethical aspects of teaching a class on how to clone living cells, Warren said, “Our responsibility is to educate our students and prepare them for life. For those who study genetics or biology, cloning will be a fact of life.” The ethical aspects of cloning are irrelevant to Warren, who added, “We are cloning single-celled amoeba. Maybe one day we’ll work our way up to …

Find out the monetary value of all the damage done in Ghostbusters! [video]

In Ghostbusters 2 fans find out that the Ghostbusters were in a bit of trouble after they saved New York City from Gozer and had been sued for damages to the city by several different city departments. What we don't find out if how much they were actually sued for. Well, the folks over at Cinema Sins have combed the film and calculated the exact amount of money in expenditures and damages. They even give you the sum in two forms; the amount the Ghostbusters would have owed in 1984 and what that total would equal to today. The result is staggering but it's fun to watch all the clips from the film in this video.

Damages in 1984 equaled $10,511,175(!) while today it would be $23,578,689! Wow. That is a lot of damages!

San Diego Comic Con - Weekend passes gone, Only single day passes for sale for 2014!

Alright convention goers. It seems like San Diego Comic Con is changing some things this year with their ticket system. Unlike previous years, this year attendees will not be able to purchase a weekend pass to the convention. San Diego Comic Con is only selling single day passes. That's right! And the real interesting part is that if you plan to attend to "Preview Night" on Wednesday, you are required to purchase passes for all four other days.

Right now there is no official reason given to explain this switch in policy but the general consensus seems to think that this could be the conventions way of getting different types of people to attend their convention over the course of the weekend. This is however very interesting as San Diego Comic Con is a convention that people fly to from all over the world to attend for the weekend. Will people still be willing to fly out for a single day? Will they be willing to buy 4-5 separate passes just to attend for the weekend? The…

Grand Theft Auto For Kids! [video]

Check out this hilarious parody video of the hit video game franchise Grand Theft Auto titled "Grand Theft Auto: For Kids". This great version of Grand Theft Auto mixes the cuteness of Dora the Explorer and similar shows with the adult nature of Grand Theft Auto. I have to say that the animation style completely adds to the laughter in a great way. This video is a success in my book. Enjoy!

First photo and details released for The Marvel Experience Tour!

Image
It's time to rejoice Marvel fans! The Marvel Experience, a traveling theme park of sorts, may be coming to a major city in your area this year and it looks incredible. The Marvel Experience was announced a few months ago but we now have a first look at what it will look like.   "“The Marvel Experience,” produced by Hero Ventures, is a unique, multimedia, family-oriented, touring experience unlike anything ever seen before. Within the multi-dome complex nearly the size of two football fields, you’ll be part of an interactive adventure featuring dozens of Marvel’s Super Heroes." Sounds pretty great to me! But what kinds of things will visitors get to experience when they attend? "Passing through the gates, visitors will find an original motion ride, exclusive 3D animated features, digitally projected animation, motion-comic book origin stories, virtual reality and holographic simulations, dynamic interactive activities, as well as integrated social media touch points…

First look at Quicksilver in X-Men: Days of Future Past!

Image
Fans can now get a first look at actor Evan Peters as Quicksilver in the upcoming film X-Men: Days of Future Past. The photo also features Hugh Jackman as Wolverine, Michael Fassbender as young Magneto, and James McAvoy as young Professor X. Quicksilver doesn't look exactly like I thought he would but who knows if he'll be changing his outfit as the film progresses. One thing however that is peculiar about this photo is that Professor X is walking around (given that he took a paralyzing shot to the back at the end of X-Men: First Class). And ideas on how he could be walking around? What do you think of  Evan Peters as Quicksilver?

X-Men: Days of Future Past
will hit theaters on May 23, 2014.

XBox One troll tricks gamers into signing out of Call of Duty: Ghosts. [video]

The new Xbox One has great voice command recognition and one gamer out there decided to troll that fact and have some fun with fellow gamers on Call of Duty: Ghosts. He changed his gamer tagto "XBOXSIGNOUT" and managed to trick gamers into saying his name out loud. When gamers would do this the voice recognition would kick in and attempt to sign out and shut down. The video below shows some really funny reactions of gamers once they have realized what they just said out loud and the fact that their game was about to be turned off. Nicely done, troll.

Amazing cover to "I See Fire" from The Hobbit: The Desolation of Smaug! [video]

Fans can make some really fun cover songs but every once in a while a fan comes along that makes a truly amazing cover song. Mercy Roulette and her band Anaria (whom have a symphonic metal sound) have created a jaw dropping cover to the song "I See Fire" that is featured in the end credits of The Hobbit: The Desolation of Smaug. The song starts out with just Mercy Roulette singing (with a great voice!) but once her band joins in it transforms into rock greatness! Think of Evanescence's sound with Amy Lee's great voice on top of rock music. Anaria did an amazing job with this cover and I highly recommend that everyone give it a listen. Enjoy!

Inspector Gadget theme song played by tesla coils! [video]

One of the great things about the 80's was the cartoon Inspector Gadget. Even if you weren't/aren't a fan of the show, you certainly know the theme song. Arc Attack takes this classic 80's theme song and combines it with a pair of high powered tesla coils to make one awesome video. Watch as the tesla coils "sing" the Inspector Gadget theme. Science is great!

Scientifically Accurate Pokemon! [video]

Animation Domination have just released another "Scientifically Accurate" video that will make you rethink your childhood (but in the funniest way possible). Their new video "Scientifically Accurate Pokémon" takes the classic television theme song and alters the lyrics to make the song more accurate for the real world. The result will truly make you laugh. Now in the case of Pokémon, some of these jokes are already out there circulating between fans but its still great to see them gathered all in one place. Enjoy!

A big thank you goes out to my friend Kris for showing me this video!

Classic X-Men character coming back for X-Men: Days of Future Past! [video]

Although Evan Jonigkeit was cast for X-Men: Days of Future Past some time ago it was never known what role he was cast for. Until now! In a recent interview with MTV News Jonigkeit filled everyone in on who he would be playing. Jonigkeit will be playing a younger version of Toad, a character originally played by Ray Park in X-Men (released in 2000). During the interview Jonigkeit spoke about how the portrayal of the character will serve as an origin story of how he came to be. He also spoke about how the film will be darker than all the others and carry a darker tone. Could the involvement of Toad in the film mean we could see the formation of The Brotherhood of Mutants that is led by Magneto? Watch the interview with Evan Jonigkeit below!

SEGA announces new Alien video game "Alien: Isolation" that will look to capture the suspense of the original film! [video]

It seems that SEGA is going to have another go at creating a video game for the Aliens franchise and this time they are taking a new approach to the game. The new game will be titled Alien: Isolation and will be released on the Playstation 3, Playstation 4, Xbox 360, Xbox One, and PC. SEGA has released two video for the game; an announcement trailer and a production video. The big change to this game from previous games is that they are looking to recreate the horror and suspense of the original movie and therefore will have only a single Alien in the game. Also, using the line from the movie about Ellen Ripley's daughter (that was never further explained) the game will have players take on the role of Amanda Ripley.
"On a decommissioned trading station in the fringes of space, fear and panic have gripped the inhabitants. Players find themselves in an atmosphere of constant dread and mortal danger as an unpredictable, ruthless Xenomorph is stalking and killing deep in the sh…

The Truth About Ewoks! Funny new video from Brotherhood Workshop! [video]

Check out Brotherhood Workshop's funny new video titled "The Truth About Ewoks". The revealed truth will really make you look at those cuddly little guys in a new way. The video features the celebration party at the end of Star Wars: Episode VI - Return of the Jedi and what the Ewoks have on the dinner menu.  "Wouldn't you love to join the Ewoks for a tree top celebration? What fun! Just don't ask what's on the menu...you might not like the answer. Who can spot the 3 Middle Earth characters somewhere in this video? My friends and I thought up this joke when we realized that Ewoks actually do eat humans. I mean, after catching Han Solo and the others, their first impulse was "EAT THEM!!!" Thankfully C-3PO saved the day. The poor stormtroopers were not so fortunate." Enjoy!
