Hugh Jackman and James Mangold hint that the next Wolverine film will be Hugh Jackman's last solo film.

Actor Hugh Jackman recently posted a photo of his hands with a set of Wolverine claws saying, "Wolverine ... One last time." and it left fans scrambling to see if he was really ending his run as the character. Even if he were, it would be understandable as he has been playing Wolverine since the film X-Men in 2000.

However, director James Mangold retweeted the photo with his own caption that he can't wait to make this. It appears now that Hugh Jackman may have been referring to the next "Wolverine" film that is set to come out in 2017 and be directed by James Mangold. So as it stands now, it looks like Jackman was stating that this new Wolverine film will be the last and make his franchise be a trilogy. In recent interviews Jackman has stated that he wants to keep playing the character as long as he can so I would not rule out Wolverine making an appearance in future X-Men films. A cameo in X-Men: Apocalypse would be great!

If Hugh Jackman needs to get replaced for the role in the future who would you cast?
