Morena Baccarin will play Copycat in the Deadpool film!

It was recently announced that actress Morena Baccarin (Gotham, Homeland, Firefly) was cast in the upcoming Deadpool film alongside actor Ryan Reynolds as the title character. However, the pair has tweeted photos of their director chairs from set and Morena's reveals who she is playing in the film!

Morena's tweet reveals that she is playing a character named "Vanessa" which pretty much confirms that she will be playing the character of Vanessa Carlysle, aka Copycat! Copycat is a shapeshifter in the comics who fell in love with Wade Wilson before he became Deadpool.

Powers:
"Genetic Metamorph: her mutant physiology gave her blue skin, white hair, and luminescent red eyes. Able to duplicate another humanoid or near-humanoid so accurately that even those closest to them couldn't tell the difference. Unlike the shape-shifting abilities of Mystique, Copycat's morphing seemed to go to the genetic level, where she could reproduce powers as well. This ability actually functioned in a sponge-like way, meaning that Copycat would begin to mimic another person just by being near them, sometimes involuntarily. The extent of the transfer depended on the length of exposure. Her ability may have even allowed her to replicate her template's psi-patterns."

I'm excited that Morena was cast in this film and am curious to see how she will bring this character to life on the big screen. Are you excited to see that Morena Baccarin will be playing Copycat?

Deadpool will be in theaters on February 12, 2016.
