Production art teases Angel in X-Men: Apocalypse!

Exciting news for X-Men fans today as director Bryan Singer posted a piece of concept art on his Instagram account that teases the entrance of the character Angel to the new film X-Men: Apocalypse.

The art piece shows Angel being held inside some sort of cage that is on display and being viewed by an audience who are clearly mesmerized by Angel's wings. The inclusion of Angel makes perfect sense and since this movie is about Apocalypse, perhaps we'll see Apocalypse turn Angel into Archangel. When Angel was turned into "Archangel" his wings were turned into techno-organic wings which allowed him to fly higher and faster. They were also razor sharp and shot out missle-like feathers that would impale enemies. He fought along side Apocalypse as one of his Four Horsemen.

What do you think of this piece of concept art? Are you happy that they'll be bring Angel (and most likely Archangel) into the film?

X-Men: Apocalypse will be in theaters on May 27, 2016.
