The first teaser trailer for NBC's Heroes Reborn asks "Where are the heroes?"

NBC released a new teaser trailer for Heroes Reborn, and it’s depressing as hell. The promo video came with the tagline, “In a desperate future, the world awaits its heroes.”

Heroes Reborn will be a 13 episode mini-series that was written and executive produced by Heroes creator Tim Kring. The new series will mix returning characters with all new ones for the fate of their lives as well as the world's.

The first teaser trailer for the show features the phrase "Where are the heroes?" written across various landscapes with a chilling rendition of Metallica's "Nothing Else Matters". It is clear that the world needs its heroes back.

Heroes Reborn will premiere  on NBC on Thursday, September 24, 2015 at 8PM ET.
