All of time and space, except Brooklyn, NY. Doctor Who Symphonic Spectacular at the Barclays Center is canceled.

I have upsetting news for Doctor Who fans in the New York area (or those willing to travel). American fans of Doctor Who were looking forward to the first Doctor Who orchestral event here in the US this October but it appears that the wait will have to continue. The event was to be held at the Barclays Center in Brooklyn, NY on October 7, 2015 and have two performances; one at 3pm and one at 7:30pm. As though sitting in a room listening to your favorite Doctor Who music being performed live by an orchestra wasn't great enough, actress Michelle Gomez (Missy) was going to be present as a guest presenter.

To fans dismay, it has been announced on the Barclays Center website that the performances have been canceld. Unfortunately there has been no explanation of why they were canceled and it is stated on the site that there are no current plans to reschedule the performances. Refunds will be issued from Ticket Master.

This is extremely upsetting news to fans who have been looking forward to this event for the last few months. Although there are no current plans to reschedule we can hope that plans are made sometime soon.

You can check the official Barclays Center website with the announcement.

For now we'll just have to wait until season 9 premieres on September 19, 2015.
