Photos from the Stormtrooper dressing room for Star Wars: The Force Awakens are simply amazing!

Costumes from the Star Wars franchise are always beautiful but you don't normally get this kind of behind the scenes look at them. Wired has shared a few photos from the Stormtrooper dressing room from the set of Star Wars: The Force Awakens and they are amazing.

Speaking about costume designer Michael Kaplan's new design for the Stormtroopers;
"The revised stormtroopers are illustrative of Kaplan's general approach to the new film's approximately 1,500 costumes, which had to retain the spirit of the original films while also showing the passing of three decades, both in fictional and real-world technology. In the case of the stormtroopers, that meant a smoother silhouette but also construction more suited to battle than their 70s counterparts."

The new look is certainly an upgrade from the armor we have seen in previous films. When it came to the actual construction of them, Kaplan stated,
""The original stormtroopers were vacuum-formed. That process required a much thinner plastic to be heated and molded. These are much harder [cast in polyurethane], so they don't crack. They're much tougher materials, plus they have more flexibility.""
Though we have seen the new armor in trailers, I am really excited to see this new armor in the full film. I want to see if the new creation method gives the armor and Stormtroopers a new feel. They don't look like they will come off as "flimsy" as the armor from the original trilogy.

What are your thoughts on the new armor for the First Order Stormtroopers?

Star Wars: The Force Awakens will be in theaters on December 18, 2015.
