Pets get put in awkward holiday situations in the new Christmas trailer for The Secret Life of Pets.

Illumination Entertainment, best known for Despicable Me and Minions, has put out a new holiday trailer for their upcoming film The Secret Life of Pets. The trailer is a lot of fun and shows off some of the weird things that pet owners do to their pets during the holiday season. Animal lovers will definitely crack up at this trailer.

Film synopsis:

"Taking place in a Manhattan apartment building, Max's life as a favorite pet is turned upside down, when his owner brings home a sloppy mongrel named Duke. They have to put their quarrels behind when they find out that an adorable white bunny named Snowball is building an army of abandoned pets determined to take revenge on all happy-owned pets and their owners."

The Secret Life of Pets will be in theaters on July 8, 2016.
