G.I. Joe cosplay tribute video shows off some jaw dropping cosplays from the G.I. Joe community.

Image
As a cosplayer myself I always have great admiration to the G.I. Joe cosplay community. Their cosplays are always amazing and I was a huge fan of the 1985 cartoon series.

During this past Dragon*Con a large group of G.I. Joe cosplayers got together to pay tribute for a fallen friend. Distractotron was on hand to get this amazing video tribute to those in attendance. These cosplays are inspiring!

Enjoy.

Dave Bautista talks about Drax's role in Guardians of the Galaxy Vol 2.

Image
When the trailer for Guardians of the Galaxy Vol 2 was released there were a few parts that fans could not stop talking about and one of them belonged to Dave Bautista's Drax the Destroyer. Drax's laughing at Star-Lord at the end of the trailer had people laughing hysterically themselves. Drax was a character that fans most likely did not expect to enjoy so much but he has completely grown on them and according to director James Gunn, people are loving him in the new film.

Dave Buatista sat down with Collider to talk about a few of his upcoming projects and commented on Drax's role in Guardians of the Galaxy Vol 2.
"“It’s an extended version of the first film, for the Drax character. There’s just a lot more … most people’s first perception of Drax would be he’s just a big, muscly brute, and he’s just going to go in and be an all-action character. But he’s more funny, driven … there’s a lot more of that. He gets closer and more caring with the other Guardians, and the…

Brian Hull's perfect Disney character impressions while meeting Disneyland characters is the magic that you need.

Image
This is just incredible. I've heard (and watched) a lot of character impressions but this particular video rises above the rest. Disney fan Brian Hull headed over to Disneyland and met several characters and spoke to them while impersonating them. It is absolute magic. He meets Tigger, Winnie the Pooh, Donald Duck, Goofy, Alice and the Mad Hatter, and Mickey Mouse. Brian's impressions are spot on and I absolutely love how excited the characters get when they hear him talking like them. The Mad Hatter (and Alice) interaction clearly takes the cake. Brian's interaction with the Mad Hatter were hilarious and poor Alice is suddenly surrounded by two Hatters!
"I always wondered, how the Disney characters at the park would react to my impressions, and they didn't disappoint! Enjoy all the madness!!" Enjoy!

Man at Arms: Reforged creates real versions of Elektra's sais from Marvel Comics.

Image
Man at Arms: Reforged is back and the crew from Baltimore Knife & Sword are busying forging Elektra's sais from Marvel Comics. I always love watching these videos and this time around I was really impressed to see that one of the sais were forged from a single piece of material. Also, really cool to see a different technique used to forge the second sais. Great work, guys! It was also a nice touch to see cosplayer Elizabeth Rage make an appearance in her Elektra cosplay to test the sais out.

What kind of weapons from film / TV/ video games would you want to see Man at Arms forge?

Square Enix and Marvel release a video game teaser trailer for "The Avengers Project".

Image
An amazing first teaser has been released for an upcoming video game titled The Avengers Project that comes from Square Enix and Marvel in collaboration with Crystal Dynamics. The teaser does not reveal too much information (if any) but it looks like the Avengers have been beaten down and that a time has come where heroes must be reassembled to stop a new threat. It is being reported that this game will feature a new story, many different heroes, and environments but it looks like we'll have to wait until more for the game is officially announced in 2018. It'll be a long wait but with Square Enix at the helm it'll be exciting to see what they have in store for fans.

New "Winter Trailer" is released for Call of Cthulhu: The Official Video Game.

Image
A new trailer has been released for the upcoming video game Call of Cthulhu: The Official Video Game.
"The trailer we hope you’ll enjoy is depicting protagonist Pierce’s submersion into the depths of madness, as he investigates a mysterious death on Darkwater Island, Boston.
You’ll notice a lot of hallmark Lovecraftian themes in this trailer, which was created to really get across the mood we’re aiming for in the game, which you’ll see soon. The idea that you’re never quite sure if what you’re seeing is real, or a symptom of madness – or both!
A Private Detective, Edward Pierce is used to trusting his instincts, but with whale mutilations and disappearing bodies, this is only the beginning as reality becomes skewed. As your investigation leads you closer to the sphere of influence of the Great Dreamer, you will start to doubt everything you see. You will have to find balance between your own sanity, and your determination in finding out what lurks in the shadows - as they say that…

New photos from Logan have X-23 and Wolverine ready for battle.

Image
Empire magazine will be featuring the upcoming film Logan and it has some amazing shots from the film. Some of the pre-released photos include X-23 (Dafne Keen), Logan / Wolverine (Hugh Jackman), and Charles Xavier / Professor X (Patrick Stewart). These photos show both X-23 and Wolverine with their claws unleashed and it is clear that there will be a lot of action in this film.

I am really liking what I am seeing of X-23. No confirmation of her single foot claw just yet but I bet that will be revealed in a very deadly way. I can't wait!

Logan will be in theaters on March 3, 2017.

Postmodern Jukebox performs some truly magical jazz variations of "Hedwig's Theme" from Harry Potter.

Image
If you're looking for an amazing pick me up in the form of some magical tunes then this is the video for you! Listen as Postmodern Jukebox performs some truly magical jazz variations of "Hedwig's Theme" from the Harry Potter franchise. The video features Mike Cottone on the trumpet, Adam Kubota on the bass, and Scott Bradlee on the piano. There are several different jazz variations played throughout this video and as I trumpet player myself I can admit that I have played this video on a loop a few times. It is just that amazing.

Sit back and enjoy the musical styling of Postmodern Jukebox.

Get a recap of the entire Resident Evil franchise leading to Resident Evil: The Final Chapter by Alice herself, Milla Jovovich.

Image
Fans are excited for the release of Resident Evil: The Final Chapter later this week, but some fans may be trying to remember all the details of the franchise before they walk into this last installment. The star of the film, Milla Jovovich, has decided to create a little video to help everyone out.

This new video has Milla retelling the entire story of the franchise from the start to the where we are in Resident Evil: The Final Chapter. It's great to see the entire story retold like this but even better with the fact that it is Milla retelling it. She has a level of sass that makes this video and retelling absolutely amazing and fun to watch. Enjoy.

Resident Evil: The Final Chapter will be in theaters on January 27, 2017.

Star Wars - Episode VIII gets an official logo and title - Star Wars: The Last Jedi!

Image
Disney has just revealed the official title and logo (seen above) for Star Wars - Episode VIII! The upcoming film will be titled Star Wars: The Last Jedi!

WOW!

There are so many questions that arise from this. As you can see from the logo, they've gone from the yellow Star Wars outline to a red outline which is usually associated with the Sith. Could this title and color mean that the Sith rise up and eliminate all the Jedi? Maybe they eliminate all the Jedi but one (kill Luke Skywalker but Rey survives)? We should also remember that "Jedi" is both singular and plural so is this title simply referring to both Luke and Rey, their training together, and their fight against the Dark Side? There is so much potential and so much to be excited about!

What do you think about this new title? Who do you think the "Last Jedi" is?

A big shout out and thank you to my friend Derrpi for giving me the heads up on this!

Star Wars: The Last Jedi will be in theaters on December 1…
